About
ASFINAG is the motorway and expressway company of the Republic of Austria, which owns 100% of it. It finances its network of 2,249 km of motorways, 166 tunnels and more than 5,800 bridges from tolls, without state funding. It runs the time-based vignette for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, with a digital vignette linked to the plate since late 2017, and the distance-based GO toll for heavier vehicles, collected in multi-lane free flow by DSRC; since January 2024 the truck toll also reflects CO₂ emissions.
