About
Jenoptik is a German photonics group whose traffic solutions division supplies road enforcement systems. In tolling, Toll Collect contracted it in 2016 to deliver up to 600 roadside toll monitoring systems for the German truck toll ahead of its extension to all federal trunk roads in July 2018. The units combine distance-measuring sensors, stereo image processing and side cameras to measure vehicle dimensions and count axles, and are mounted at the roadside without overhead gantries.
